This week’s Weekly Wisdom is all about making choices before, during and after menopause. We read so much conflicting information about menopause and often the experiences that your family and friends have had dictates how you’re going to deal with menopause. Spending time away with my family this week has given me the opportunity to look at life from a different perspective, which is always good. These have been joyous days during which I found myself focusing on what really matters. We know that rushing brings on hot flushes and makes us feel stressed, potentially making our menopause experience even worse. I can’t stress enough the importance of taking some time out of your busy day to do … Read More

Recently, a friend of a friend posted on Facebook that she feels she has been hit by a steamroller as her menopause arrived and that her doctor advised her to take HRT. She was asking her friends for their advice. One of her contacts and a friend of mine recommended that she got in touch with me for some expert advice as I pioneered a scientifically based non-drug approach to menopause, have written several books on the subject, and have been helping women overcome their symptoms for more than 20 years.
