Megan Markle going through a change. Having a meltdown because other people shun you at menopause or treat you as if you are invisible? Why even the Deputy Governor at the Bank of England, Ben Broadbent, took a swing at menopause this week, when he said the economy was going through menopause. Why is it that other humans can’t be respectful and praise us for who we are and what we have to offer the world, rather than looking for ways they can better themselves at the expense of others?
My heart goes out to Megan Markle in the days leading up to her wedding to Prince Harry. Whilst she may not be having hot flushes for hormonal reasons, she understands only too well about getting hot around the collar, and how hurtful the behaviour of others can be.
But for all the noise and embarrassment her family are heaping on her, let us not forget that she is a huge hearted woman who has been helping needy children as a default position long before she met Prince Harry. Her family background only serves to remind us that if we dream big enough we can achieve anything. I applaud her many varied achievements, both in her career as well as her personal life. I feel certain that she will rise above the noise, tune into her truth and mindfully love every moment of her very special day.
Having lost my 21 year old daughter, prematurely and needlessly, I know how raw Harry must still be feeling following the loss of his mother. Her passing understandably left a huge void in his world, but as a grown-up he was able to follow her caring footsteps, making a huge difference to the lives of others. Despite the fact that his wedding day will be tinged with sadness due to the lack of her presence, Megan’s love for Harry will help him rise above his grief to become the very best version of himself. I believe that together they will change the world positively through charitable deeds, as well as adding some romantic sparkle to our lives, renewing our belief that love helps us triumph and doing random acts of kindness for others brings us joy.
Regardless of the empty chairs tomorrow, they have each other and that’s massive. I wish them both a happy and healthy life together and look forward to watching as they weave a tapestry of goodness. Happy news rocks!
